Adults would gather around the Altar of Baal and a sacrifice would be burned in the fire. Was the sacrifice a lamb or bull as you might expect? No, it was a baby. This child would either be burned (alive) in a fire or the child would be set into the metal arms of Baal, which had been heated into a searing temperature.
