Food for Thought about California Public Education: Organizations protecting the status quo in the name of children are only interested in maintaining a corrupt monopoly and are fearful of parents being given the choice to direct tax dollars elsewhere (heck, I’d be pissed if someone took away my monopoly too). That isn’t to say that there aren’t a lot of great people working in public education. But it doesn’t matter what their intentions are as they are stuck within a system that was doomed to fail from the very beginning.
